The Academies of Loudoun Office of Admissions and Outreach is seeking student volunteers for:
Propel and Level Up Vex Robotics Tournament: Held at the Academies of Loudoun
The Academies of Loudoun’s Office of Admissions and Outreach will be hosting a Vex Robotics Tournament at the Academies of Loudoun on April 2, 2022. Students are needed to serve as volunteers on competition day. (We will have a variety of jobs on this day (See below). The hours are 8:30 am - 4:00 pm (it will be split into two session, and you can volunteer for one, the other, or both).
Job Descriptions:
Tour Guides: Will take visiting students on a scripted tour of our school
Competition judges: Will score various events and set up tables between rounds. There will be an additional training required for judges. The date(s) the training is offered will be determined.
Activity Leaders: Will lead a 30 minute STEM activity for groups of 10 – 15 students. Leaders can expect to have a new group of students every 30 minutes between 9:30 am – 2:00 pm
Floaters/Runners: Will help direct students groups to various locations, will give other Activity Leaders, Judges and Tour Guides breaks.
Students must provide their own transportation.
