Getting Started

If you have previous experience with Inventor, Solidworks, or some other Autodesk 3D CAD software, many parts of Fusion 360 may appear familiar to you. If you do have experience with another Autodesk 3D CAD software (especially Inventor), then you might find it more time-efficient to head over to our page Fusion 360 for VEX EDR, which delves into the specifics of manipulating VEX parts with Fusion 360, while also providing some opportunity for those experienced with other software to become familiar with the specifics of Fusion 360.

If you do not have any experience with Fusion 360 or other 3D CAD software, we recommend watching the series of three videos below. We have reviewed them, and they will provide a pretty good understanding of the basics of Fusion 360 before moving on to our next section, Fusion 360 for VEX EDR. We highly recommend following along with Fusion 360 while watching the videos.
